Wedding season snuck up on me this year – thanks covid. I shoot, I edit, I spend time with my fam. I have work-life balance, but an absolute lack of sleep. Oh well – I’ll rest when I’m dead.
I know Steph from working at Tofino Hospital – a job I picked up when we first moved here, and a job that served me well making the transition from Alberta to BC. It was a good way to make a living while I was in the process of re-establishing my business here (I’ve been a photographer for 10 years – the first 7 were in the Edmonton area, and the past three have been in Tofino and Ucluelet) and it was a good way to meet people.
So I’m glad I met Steph. When she contacted me about wedding photography – she’s getting married this fall!! – she also wanted to do engagement photos. But first she wanted to do maternity photos. And newborn photos. And most recently, I took photos at her stagette. I’m SO grateful to be a part of her & Doug’s journey this past year.
Their engagement photos were one of my first sessions in the late spring, after months of sadly sitting at home and wondering if the world was ever going to return to a state of normalcy. This sesh fed my soul.
