Legend has it that I was born on a rainy April afternoon and that’s why I love the rain so much. Maybe that’s true, or maybe there’s no accounting for personal tastes. Maybe it’s because rain is not so common where I come from. But it doesn’t change.
It’s pouring, but today I’m leaving the rain behind and reflecting on a gorgeous, bright June day in Tofino.
The anticipation is enough to drive you insane. Before the ceremony, I spent some time with Tamara as Jess did her final touches and the excitement level was high. She was so clearly excited to marry her love that she had to turn around on the stairs and come back because he was standing in the lounge!! Don’t worry – he didn’t see her though. You’ll see his first reaction in a moment.
There’s that reaction.
Sweet vows were said. The ocean beat constantly just feet from where we stood. This ceremony was so beautiful and so private.
Tyler was clearly excited to say his vows. The joy in this was earth shattering.
The one and only moment where the sun hid behind a cloud.
Yes, there’s a baby in there.
This is the best thing about sunny days in Tofino. The light through the trees is nothing short of magic.
Family of 3.
